Psylock is developing biometric components, Software Developer Kits, Server products and applications. The basis for the products is the Psylock Authentication Server.

The Psylock Authentication Server is based on a component architecture and can be extended with customised modules following the plug-in concept, when necessary.

For the use in business critical IT infrastructures the Psylock Authentication Server hast the following important features:

  • It can run as a distributed application on several servers simultaneously, is therefore easily scalable and suited for high load scenarios.

System requirements

Technical requirements for the use of the Psylock Authentication Server are very few:

  • The Server requires a Java5 runtime environment.
  • The integrated data management is compatible with all common database systems (e.g. Oracle, IBM DB2 or PostgreSQL).

As an standalone application in most cases an installation in a standard runtime environment such as an Apache Tomcat Server or another JEE compatible application server is sufficient.

For integrated applications most system environments that allow Java libraries can be used. Examples of such environments are Enterprise Application Servers like BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere and JBOSS.
